Colleen has been wonderful to work with this past summer. My daughter had some learning differences that I wanted to work on and decided to join Colleen's Online ADHD BrainWare Safari Group Program. Colleen helped us better understand the medication perspective and the all natural alternatives for managing and measuring ADHD from a neurological viewpoint. She then balanced out the program to ensure cognitively, my daughter was stronger in all necessary skill sets for improvement in the learning process. My daughter make miraculous measurable progress and has been much more confident entering the new school year. She has more attention, less frustration and is able to complete more on her own. From a percentile standpoint, my daughter measured on the Gibson Cognitive Assessment (taken before and after the program) from 1 to 29 in working memory, 5 to 58 in auditory memory, 3 to 63 in long term memory, 35 to 59 in visual processing, 74 to 84 in processing speed, 19 to 60 in logical reasoning and 87 to 91 in word attack and 3 to 40 in visual memory. Colleen worked with our group for 12 weeks and provided fantastic resources, tips and strategies for a very reasonable investment. I recommend working with Colleen to change your child's life, too. ~Ana and Amanda, Fla. Contact Ana for more information. |
Colleen has been God sent. Our son was doing OK in school and struggled with reading, spelling and other areas as well. We invested in Colleen's Student Transformation System. We first went through the brain training program. We saw a definite change in our son's behavior. He seemed more focused and more relaxed. He even was more helpful around the house. Not only did our son learn ways to communicate better, we also learned how we needed to communicate with him. As we progressed more with the program we asked Colleen about our son's reading and with testing we come to find out that his reading level is about 2 grades below(ex. He's in 9th grade reading at a 7th grade level). We have noticed that his spelling has improved as well as his grades in school. From a percentile standpoint, my son measured on the Gibson test (taken before and after the program) from 67 to 87 in working memory, 55 to 85 in auditory memory, 83 to 90 in long term memory, 36 to 89 in visual processing, 41 to 54 in processing speed, 41 to 67 in logical reasoning and 56 to 68 in word attack. This past school year has been the best for our son and we owe it all to Colleen. ~Steve, Mary Beth and Christopher, NY Contact Mary Beth for more information. |

We invested in Colleen's Student Transformation System. We worked with Colleen for 3 months to improve my daughter's memory difficulties and other academic weaknesses. During that time, we had weekly discussions with Colleen on my daughter's progress and Colleen also gave us suggestions/hints on what we should do at home and at school. From a percentile standpoint, my daughter measured on the Gibson test (taken before and after the program) from 51 to 73 in working memory, 27 to 91 in auditory memory, 25 to 71 in long term memory, 69 to 86 in visual processing, 83 to 99 in logical reasoning and 84 to 95 in word attack. I would recommend Colleen and her services. I felt she was very professional helped our daughter improve. ~Steve and Amanda, NJ Contact Steve for more information. |

Another challenge was my son's ability to get his thoughts out of his head and onto paper in an organized fashion. We had spelling errors galore and ongoing attention challenges from his ADHD diagnosis. We have chosen not to use medication and were looking for help to lessen the symptoms. My son's grades were not very good in most of the subjects with Language Arts being the lowest. After working with Colleen, my son is now able to manage his anxiety and complete his homework mostly independently and before bedtime. He is also able to connect concepts and his processing is much better than prior to the Student Transformation System. My son is now able to write and spell much better and express his thoughts. His now able to understand his complex reading assignments from his Princeton schools and he can answer the questions being asked of him. All of his grades have gone up to A & B’s over the course of time working with Colleen. My son has more self-confidence and believes in himself now. My son still has some work to do and we are following Colleen’s next step recommendations. I would recommend working with Colleen and helping to change your child’s life forever. We are very happy with our results and our child has changed drastically after working with Colleen. ~Timea and son, NJ Contact Timea for more information. |

After working with Colleen, my son's memory improved tremendously, which enables him to do better on tests. He also manages his time across his assignments better. His cognitive skills, at the end of the program, were above average letting us know that he now has the ability and potential. Colleen took the extra important step of integrating this information and skill set back into the home/classroom and even giving up recommendations for discussion with therapists and specialists working with my son. My son still has work to be done and Colleen’s next step document and continued session discussions are providing me with opportunity to ask questions and get expert advice as we continue our journey with our son to success! I would highly recommend working with Colleen and her Student Transformation System. You have choices and options for your child. Colleen will help you recognize, envision and strategize your way to success! |

Before working with Colleen, My son, Mitchell was literally failing all but one subject in school. He is in 5th grade. His reading, writing and spelling skills were very weak. I was seriously contemplating homeschooling Mitchell to help him. That is when I contacted Colleen. She encouraged me to do what my gut was telling me all along. I made the decision to pull him from public school and embark on homeschooling with intense remediation. She helped me create a great program using BrainSkills, Language Tune-Up Kit and coached me along the journey. I worked with Mitchell everyday with an intensive schedule for 3 months. After working with Colleen, my son is now back in public school, he is getting A’s and B’s in all subjects. His reading fluency skyrocketed and went from 60 wpm to 116 wpm. He improved in all areas of his cognitive skills. His spelling skills are so strong that he is no longer failing and getting 100% on his tests. He read his first book all by himself and he is thrilled. He is no longer calling himself stupid or dumb. He knows his potential and proving his success daily. As we were going through this program, we had him tested by a neuropsychologist, thinking he would be diagnosed as dyslexic. However, he came through the testing with no issues or diagnosis. It is really a miracle. My son’s life has forever been changed. I am very thankful to Colleen for her help and guidance. I would highly recommend Language Tune-up Kit paired with Colleen’s Student Transformation System using a brain training program like BrainSkills! We are very happy! ~ Debbie and Mitchell, MO Contact Debbie for more information. |
If your child struggles with school and you are looking for help, you have come to the right place! Colleen has a wealth of knowledge and resources to share and is so easy to talk to! Before working with Colleen, my daughter, age 11, has always struggles with her academics. She has a slow processing speed, poor working memory, and weak executive function skills. She completed the PACE (Processing and Cognitive Enhancement) program with a trainer, here in Massachusetts, over the summer. Due to the short summer, she was unable to complete the full 12 weeks of PACE and wanted to continue with the at home, computer version called Brainskills. I was simply looking for someone to walk us through the program, help us with the exercises when we got stuck, and provide encouragement for my daughter. Colleen far exceeded my expectations! Here is some of what she did for us: 2) After identifying my daughter's cognitive weaknesses, Colleen worked to find the biggest area of academic weakness, comprehension, and then drilled down to figure out what, specifically was the limiting factor. Was it her decoding, her memory, poor vocabulary, or difficulty seeing the big picture? By pinpointing the specific problem, we could make a plan of attack. 3) Colleen helped me to reach out to my daughter's teachers, using language that they would understand and respond to. Most schools are not up to speed on cognitive skills, but they can talk about vocabulary and comprehension. Now, putting grades aside, we could all have the same goal of improving comprehension. 4) One of Colleen's greatest strengths is her broad base of knowledge, huge database of resources, and ability to provide us with choices. She always gave multiple choices for how to address a problem area, had a sensitivity to cost, and was non-judgmental. She always provided options to work independently at home, options for low cost online programs, sometimes more costly and elaborate online programs, or one to one tutoring and training programs. She went out of her way to help me find programs and resources here in Massachusetts too. 5) Having worked through the system both professionally and personally, Colleen really helped me to understand my choices in terms of future education for my daughter...private versus public. I am happy to say that my daughter is having her best academic year in a long time! Her cognitive skills have all improved and I am seeing carryover into her academics. Her memory is improved. She is more organized, able to think more clearly, and therefore, communicate better. I can say wholeheartedly, that I, as a parent, am also in a much better place. Colleen has been wonderful. She was always there to listen without judgment, offer support and suggestions, and give us options! She has given me so much more hope for my daughter's future. Now I know that there are many ways to address my daughter's weaknesses, you just have to know where to look! |
Before working with Colleen, Christian was having a hard time in school with reading comprehension, processing, spelling and memory. He displayed a great deal of anxiety that manifested in facial tics at times. Christian was steadily dropping in his grades as his academic workload was increasing. Colleen educated us along the way and helped us understand the underlying cause for Christian’s learning differences and weak ability to progress. She created a personalized Student Transformation System for Christian’s unique needs. After working with Colleen, Christian’s grades went up in almost every subject. His teachers commented that he is much more independent in the classroom. They are noticing Christian is improving in his writing and reading skills. Colleen attended two Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings with us. She educated us on our legal rights and helped us negotiate and partner with Christian’s school successfully. Colleen also recommended that Christian be seen by a neurologist because he had a stage 1 concussion from his sports activities. We are glad we followed her advice because it turns out Christian was experiencing seizures during his sleep! Colleen helped to strengthen Christian’s ability to learn and comprehend and then helped him become more independent. She helped him through his daily homework process. He is now able to begin and complete most of his homework by himself. Christian was introduced to many strategies. He learned how to plan and organize for his school projects, Being able to prepare, plan and organize homework assignments, Being able to prepare, plan and organize test assignments, study skills strategies, and note taking strategies. Christian also began commenting that school was easier to follow. He was able to hear more clearly in the classroom. He was able to follow along with the teacher. Chris was also stating that it is much easier to remember information. Ideas and lessons being taught by the teachers were making sense much sooner than prior to the brain training. His ability to remember math facts has improved! Colleen also recommended that Christian use the Rhythmic Entrainment Intervention (REI) while going through her program. REI enabled Christian to sleep better, be more focused, less anxious to the point the tics disappeared, more organized in thoughts and actions and more. We are very pleased with all of Colleen’s expertise and professional service. We plan to work with Colleen again in the near future. ~Jim, Susan and Christian, Branchburg, NJ ~ Contact Jim or Suzy |
I came to Colleen for suggestions on summer programs for my children. She assessed both children and based on the results recommended her Student Transformation program. Both of my children had challenges in their academics in one form or another. I never expected to get such clarity and understanding from Colleen’s online assessment. The results really told a story and I knew why my children were struggling and having challenges. My daughter has learning differences which impact her ability to read fluently. She was very weak in auditory processing and memory. Her visual memory was weak too. After working with Colleen, she gained a minimum of 2 years in her cognitive skills in almost all skills thus far and keeps progressing. My daughter’s tutors were kept in the loop throughout the summer and we worked through all 10 steps of Colleen's system to show improvement at home and with academics. Colleen has been indispensable helping to advise and guide me along the way to helping my child transform. My Son wasn’t necessarily struggling, but he was not performing fluently in all areas nor consistently. Colleen’s assessment showed me that my son was very strong with visual skills and not as strong in auditory skills. That helped up understand why remembering sports plays via the coach talking was a challenge at times. After working with Colleen, my son strengthened all of his cognitive skills by a minimum of 2 years. His sports improved! With Colleen’s Student Transformation System, we were able to help him find a balance of success at home and at school. I highly recommend working with Colleen. She is very skilled and may just be the Queen of Brain Training. Her Student Transformation System is extremely helpful and takes the pressure off the parent and teacher (tutor) when trying to communicate and partner. She takes care of bringing everyone together for your child’s sake. ~ Kristin, Izzy and Derek Winamac, Idaho, U.S. ~Contact Kristin |

Homework was a struggle each night, she didn't want to read, her processing speed was very slow while doing anything. Colleen suggested a 12 week program called Brainware Safari. In just in a couple of weeks I started to see a difference in how Jessica was able to keep to the metronome beat. She was also able to quickly change focus from right to left where as before starting the program she had to think about which way was left or right. She was able to remember series of numbers both front and backwards to a beat. This was her weakest skill on her cognitive testing through school. Colleen started to see the areas that were too hard for Jessica and took the time to explain to her the game level objective and what Jessica could do to help her understand the level better by using visual elements and talking it through with her. Jessica finished 137 levels out of the 168. She improved in just about every category from her pre-test of the Gibson Assessment test. I saw Jessica's improvement with my own two eyes during each level she tackled. Colleen is a very competent coach and was always extremely patient and understanding with my daughter and I. I would highly recommend her and her Student Transformation Program (Using BrainWare Safari 12 week program). It made a difference in my daughter's life! ~ Kim and Jessica from South Plainfield, NJ ~contact Kim |
My son has a non-verbal learning disability, which there is no therapy for, and which hindered his progress in school. I was at my wit's end when I discovered Colleen's website. It was a leap of faith for us to undertake this training, but now that it is completed, we are grateful and thrilled with the results. My son had a very good experience working with Colleen on her Student Transformation System (using PACE and Master the Code). The program was hard work for him, but Colleen made it enjoyable. And his results were remarkable - he showed gains of several years in almost all cognitive areas! Additionally, Colleen provided expert, personal feedback for us as we struggled to get a handle on our son's learning challenges. Contact Stephanie for more details |

Before working with Colleen, my son was having a very difficult time in high school. My husband and I knew that something was off but we could not put our finger on it. My son’s performance was inconsistent and the school said that there were no real concerns being seen in the classroom. However, my son came to us and was worried about his ability to keep up. He couldn’t put his finger on it either. Colleen and I talked and she asked questions relative to education and medical backgrounds. Based on what she heard, she asked if my son ever had Lyme Disease. My son did have Lyme Disease but it was years ago. However, based off of his present symptoms and challenges, Colleen recommended that we see a Lyme specialist. We did and determined from blood tests that the Lyme was still active and causing the main issues with learning. Colleen developed a program to support my son as he underwent intensive antibiotic treatments. We are very happy with the continued support from Colleen. I highly recommend her program and her services. ----- Alison from CT |

School was difficult for him. Because he was unable to selectively attend, he had a hard time keeping up in school. It took him a while to respond and give an answer. Brandon could not remember math facts well. He would confuse the symbols of addition/subtraction which would cause him to score low on tests. Homework was a chore. In after care, Brandon was always the last person inside the room when I arrived. Because he always needed help with homework, the other children would always finish first and get to go outside and play. Most of the time when I arrived, Brandon would cry because he knew that not only did he miss time playing with his friends, but now he had to go home and do homework and miss out on playing again. His school work suffered to the point where he was falling behind. I could sit and work with him on information he learned last week and he would not be able to tell me anything about it. We had tried to work with tutors but did not find success. Colleen recommended we put the tutors on hold until Brandon was done working with ELSK for greater success. We are glad we followed her suggestion. After working with Colleen and her programs, Brandon’s ADHD symptoms have diminished to the point of disappearing. Most of his symptoms were cognitive based and once we strengthened those skills, he no longer had difficulty with attending, focusing and sitting still. He learned how to control himself and tell the difference in how it felt to be calm and in control versus hyperactive without any control. His teachers now state that he is no more fidgety than any other typical 4th grade boy. He has basically caught up in his studies. Now, he is able to remember and give me all the information from the previous week(s) that we went over together. The best part is now Brandon is the first child done with his homework in after care. He is thrilled. Learning is no longer a struggle and school is fun again. ~Donna and Brandon from Somerset, NJ.~Contact Donna. |

Before working with Colleen, Paris had a difficult time getting through the day at school. Besides forgetting her books, homework would often take much longer than it should. Paris also had a difficult time following multi-step directions, assisting us in the home with chores and her self-confidence was low. She relied solely on memorization by writing things down. Thanks to Colleen's program, Paris began believing in herself again. Her grades have been holding steady and she is still in advanced classes. She helps us in the home now with chores. We don’t have to keep repeating instructions or requests to her anymore. She has a variety of ways to memorize now. ~Hilary and Paris from Whitehouse, NJ.~Contact Hilary |

My concerns were around Brooke becoming an independent learner and being able to keep up as the work continued to get more challenging in 4th grade and beyond. When we met with Colleen, she explained cognitive skills and how they are needed to help a student learn. When we assessed her we could see she had very strong skills and some weak skills, too. The skills that were weak were directly impacting her reading, writing and comprehension skills. They were also making it hard for Brooke to remember multi-step requests, regular routines and we ended up repeating ourselves a lot of the time. Also, Brooke was not initiating homework herself and I wanted her to be ready for 5th grade where she needs to be a bit more independent. Brooke would get very upset with herself if she did not perform well all the time. She was not 100% confident in herself because on one hand she knew she was strong in some areas but also knew she had weaknesses but did not know what they were or when they would show up. After working with Colleen and her programs, Brooke is more confident in herself and is able to take risks she would not have before academically and even socially. She does her homework on her own now and I basically give the final check off before it goes into her backpack. She even does papers and projects on her own now, too. Everything from book selection, research, writing, and any artifacts that are needed for the paper. At home, I do not need to repeat myself several times or constantly remind her to do things. She is now bridging the gap from a student needing constant supervision to an independent lifelong learner. She loves to read and is able to read words she could not before working with Colleen. Brooke is able to better organize, plan and study effectively. Brooke has consistently been getting A’s in school. Brooke is looking forward to attending Princeton University in her future. ~Shelia and Brooke of Hillsborough, NJ.~Contact Sheila |

Before working with Colleen, Caitlyn was having a hard time keeping up in school. She came to me and said I can’t do it anymore. She was used to compensating and figuring out a way to workaround her difficulties with school assignments. However, in 10th grade she hit a wall. She got to the point where she just didn’t do the assignments. She would say, “Why bother?” If she did attempt some of the work she would literally skip over all the words she could not read. Then she did not know what she was reading or learning about and could not get through assignments. When we had her tested, the results showed her reading way below her age. She had a hard time grasping new concepts. She showed signs of dyslexia. We did not know anything about learning skills until we met with Colleen. She explained how the brain learns and what was needed for Caitlyn to become a successful reader and learner. After working with Colleen and her programs, Caitlyn has renewed confidence herself and her abilities. Caitlyn received the Academic Excellence Awards in German in 2009. This was an award Caitlyn does not believe she would have received if she did not work with Colleen and the Student Transformation System. Her grades are improving steadily each marking period. She is improving from low C's to A's. She is now spelling and reading words that she was unable to before she started working with ELSK. Her weak skills skyrocketed to adult level and she is now motivated and encouraged about her future including college. She is now able to complete her homework assignments in record speed. For example, Caitlyn was so excited to be able to complete a literature assignment in study hall because this type of assignment would have required assistance and a few days of work. Now, she is able to grasp concepts easier and when she is unsure, she is confident to ask for the help because she has the skills to follow along and get it. She no longer skips words and she hands in all of her assignments. We are so proud of how hard she has worked and continues to work. I feel that we were finally doing everything we needed for Caitlyn. I felt secure that I was in very good hands with Colleen. ~Sue and Caitlyn of Annandale, NJ.~ Contact Sue |

My son "J", has been diagnosed with Pervasive Developmental Delay and Attention Deficit Disorder. I was thrilled to find Colleen and have "J" work with cutting edge learning programs that Colleen is trained to teach. Colleen understood that "J" needed help with underlying skills to improve his language arts abilities. She is more than a "tutor" - Colleen is a "brain trainer" and understands learning disabilities relating to auditory, visual and other processing interests. As "J" completed the PACE training program with Colleen his grades and language skills improved. Colleen also freely recommended other professionals and programs that could benefit "J", which are helpful including vision therapy. She continues to monitor his progress with "Fast ForWord" which he now does at home with us. ~Joan of Bridgewater, NJ~ Contact Joan for more details |

My daughter, Laura, was having difficulty with her high school work. She came to us and said she just could not keep up anymore. Laura was having a hard time in classes where she had to take notes and listen to the teacher at the same time. She also found herself coming home and reading the same story over again that her teacher had just read aloud in school that day. My daughter's grades were dropping at a steady rate and we did not know what to do next. I came to Colleen looking for an expert to coach, guide and help my daughter be able to learn easier and more efficiently. After working with Colleen's Student Transformation System, my daughter was noticing a steady improvement in her ability to do the exact things she could not do before working with Colleen. My daughter received expert coaching, support and many strategies for studying, taking notes, tests and more. I learned by measuring my daughter's ability to learn and then strengthening any weaknesses like attention, speed of recall, memory, etc., that her brain now has new neuropathways that will provide her unlimited ability to achieve what she desires and begin to bridge the gap to lifelong independent learner. As an added bonus, my daughter's grades skyrocketed from C's to A's, she is better organized and her mindset is now set to "leader, winner, live your life's passion" ~Linda of Montgomery, NJ~ Contact Linda for more details |
I came to Colleen for help around comprehension, processing speed and social skills. He needed help with being more independent in school and home. I wanted him to be on a schedule that he could follow at home to help him be independent. He would often forget books at school. My son had a hard time with being able to do the same work at school and home. Colleen helped me understand what the underlying causes were that ended up holding my son back from success in school. As he completed PACE and Master the Code training program with Colleen, his teachers began making statements around noticeable improvements relating to his improved ability to comprehend and follow along in class. His teachers believed he was processing better. They told me it was like "a light switch went on in his brain." My son was able to talk in front of the class, make eye contact and follow along with concepts using less prompting and be more independent after working with Colleen. Colleen used her Transformation System to ensure what my son could do at home was performed successfully in school, too. He was able to create new neuropathways while strengthening his ability to read, write, take tests and more. My son was able to do presentations in the front of the class, make eye contact and stay on track independently after working with Colleen. Colleen helped me get my son on a schedule at home which freed up time for me. She also helped to motivate him to believe in his abilities. My son began taking on chores himself and even starting shoveling the driveway without being asked ! He knows that he can accomplish anything he sets his mind too - Colleen helped us get this message across to him so that he not only heard it but received it and is living this truth. Although my son still has a lot of work ahead of him, we know that Colleen has helped our son tremendously. Her system has helped to build the foundation he needs, reorganize processing in his brain for faster recall and understanding, and helped my son begin to bridge the gap to independent lifelong learner. ~Vasu of Montgomery, NJ~ Contact Vasu for more details |

Before working with Colleen, my son was having terrible anxiety triggered by his overwhelm with completing his homework. At times, we would catch him working in the middle of the night to complete his homework. It seemed to take an unbelievable amount of time to complete homework in each subject.
Before my son worked with Colleen’s Student Transformation System, he was struggling with remembering information that he studied for tests. He could not follow multiple step directions nor could he manage his time well across his studies and homework sessions. His cognitive assessment revealed weaknesses in Processing Speed, Long-Term Memory, Auditory Memory and Auditory Processing.

Gary Yakely, CEO
My daughter Jessica is 10 years old and struggles with Central Auditory Processing Disorder. Before we met Colleen we were at a complete loss of how to help her.
"Colleen, Thanks for all your help in getting us rolling. The hardest games for my daughters are the swimmer game (we're still just doing practice mode), and the "sky scanning" (we have trouble both remembering and finding the numbers....we're still practicing on that one too). I can already see gains in self-confidence. I am so excited by what I see happening here. It's fascinating to watch the difference in the two girls and how they respond when they don't quite get it."~
Before working with Colleen, Brandon had been known as hyperactive and unable to attend because he would be distracted all the time. Actually, what was happening was Brandon was attending to everything and unable to selectively attend. Colleen helped us understand this better.

Before working with Colleen, I felt Brooke was not working at her potential. Something was not right but I could not put my finger on it.
