What Does PACE Do?

What are Cognitive Skills that PACE strengthens anyway?

Cognitive skills are the basic mental abilities we use everyday in our lives whether at school, work or enjoyment. They include a wide variety of mental processes  such as visual processing, auditory processing, sequential processing, long and short-term memory, logic and reasoning (ability to think, reason and plan), selective (focus on one thing while blocking out "noise") and divided attention (similar to multi-tasking), and processing speed (how fast the brain processes data). Master the Code (MTC) - Reading & Spelling

Master the Code^® (MTC) is the revolutionary reading & spelling program designed to build upon PACE.  PACE strengthens cognitive skills including auditory analysis skills.  Once the student has mastered the PACE Auditory skills, MTC is added to every training session to rebuild the student's reading system and put an end to poor reading habits. 

Master the Code helps students develop an understanding of the code of the language, and bring reading and spelling skills to an automatic level.  The program develops phonemic awareness, visual awareness for words, and an understanding of the phonetic code of the language.
